What London's missing out on...

Zimmermann.

"One glance and you know that dress or bikini is ZIMMERMANN.
The label stays true to its original vision: sophisticated femininity,
clever colour combinations and delicate original prints".

One label I was instantly drawn to when arriving at the shopping central of Sydney was the cute yet sophisticated, quirky high-end fashion label, Zimmermann.
Founded in 1991 by Sydney Sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann, the award winning brand entails a signature balance of sophisticated feminine details and strong silhouettes with bold and interesting colour combinations. Along with interesting, delicate and unique prints, reflecting the modern look and feel of Sydney summers.

Launching the first Zimmermann designs at Paddington market, the sisters opened their first boutique in 1992. Beginning as a RTW line Zimmermann eventually evolved by fusing fashion with swimwear, and it wasn't long until it found itself with the fashion elite. Zimmerman’s courageous, original prints, beautifully made one-pieces and sculptural bikinis created a new point of reference in flattering, sexy and stylish swimwear, Zimmermann becoming an established quintessentially Australian design aesthetic.

“If Sydney was personified, she’d be bronzed, brazen and wearing a Zimmermann bikini, so synonymous has the sunny label become with Australian style.”
- Sydney Morning Herald

Sold internationally Stockists include the iconic, Barney’s, Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdales, Harrods, Harvey Nichols, David Jones and independent boutiques around the world. Zimmermann is also featured on the world’s premier online stores such as Net-A-Porter and Shopbop.

Chanele Rose

Love Love Love the amazing Sydney based florist and event stylist that is Chanele Rose

The Bride magazine

Yesterday was the wrap of an amazing two day editorial bridal shoot for The Bride Magazine. Set in  a rustic art/photography studio in Redfern, Sydney on day one, day two was one to go down in the history of little ol' me! Set on the stunning bachelor pad style luxury boat, MV Epicure (pictured), the sights of course as a tourist where some of the best highlights of my trip to Sydney so far let alone just today. But I have to say I am loving all that I'm learning about Australian style, having such a contrast to British style, mainly for the obvious fact that the climates are so different, I'm loving how relaxed Australians are about not giving a f*#k what others think. Coming from a place where tradition is followed regularly (GB of course) to a place where people don't give a Donald Duck about keeping things traditional but concentrate on the design and a style rather than what a bride is supposed to look like. With flowers from the extremely talented Chanele Rose Flowers, hair and make up the amazing Paul Bedggood and styling by the stylish Kathryn Bloom (assisted by your truly), I hope you enjoy the BTS pictures as much as I enjoyed blocking up my memory with them!

Preen Dream

I need to tile my house and my body with Moroccan tiles after seeing the Preen S/S 15 collection. I literally need to find a way to become a kitchen tile so I can stick more kitchen tiles onto myself in lots of different colours and patterns and then pair them off with sports socks for a quirky, sporty, cool finish. This is the plan for S/S 15 and I can't wait to start collecting all the kitchen tiles I can and then start tiling myself! Yay!
Bye!

Friday Faves

OMG, get in my wardrobe Dsquared2!! The purple pant suit is winking at me and I like it.
That is number one on my 'to buy' list, although I can't say I will be wearing mine with heels, some trainers or sliders however will dress it down perfectly!
What do I love about these looks? Aside from No21's weird silk bow mules, the marrying opposites seen in No.21make the collection right up my street, theres nothing I love more than a random unexpected combination! The amazing 70s style and prints delivered to us by the print master himself Roberto Cavalli reminded me just how much I have and always will love hippie chic. And the amazing eye popping colours in Dsquared2 make me want to throw all my black clothing away! But then I'd have nothing left in my wardrobe so that ain't happening!
Cheerio! xo

Who got White right?

One thing you will have to avoid in S/S 2015 is eating anything with colour because crisp white is one of the biggest trends of the season, and who got it right? Here are some of a few….

New York Fashion Week

So as hard as it was I managed to get my New York Fashion Week favourite looks down to a solid 9 looks. S/S 2015 to me screams out textures, layers, pastels, muted tones and pops of colour. If I had to cut it down to one, say someone offered me one look to keep…(yer right!!) I would have to say the Carolina Herrera floor length skirt and white appliqué top, the whole collection was just so beautiful and perfect with bold colours and textures, long gowns and geographical prints finished off with peachy porcelain skin and a perfect red lip, my fave!!
